Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 22nd May, 2007.
I, MARY HARNEY, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 of the Disability Act 2005 (No. 14 of 2005), having consulted with the Minister for Education and Science, do hereby order as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Disability Act 2005 (Commencement) Order 2007.

The 1st June 2007 is hereby fixed as the day on which the provisions of Part 2 of the Disability Act 2005 comes into operation in relation to persons under 5 years of age.
