I, Michael McDowell, T.D., Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 22(3) of the Adoptive Leave Act 2005 (No. 25 of 2005), hereby order as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Adoptive Leave Act 2005 (Commencement) Order 2006.
2.
The 30th day of January, 2006 is appointed as the day on which the Adoptive Leave Act 2005 (No. 25 of 2005) (except insofar as it is already in operation) comes into operation.
